New credential to help “set C-N graduates apart on job market”

Carson-Newman University’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences received approval to offer child and family studies graduates the eligibility to receive the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential. The credential is awarded through the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR).

The CFLE credential covers 10 different content areas in Family Life Education, signifying the recipient’s expertise across specific areas. According to Dr. 丽莎·康纳, Carson-Newman associate professor of Family and Consumer Sciences, the announcement benefits C-N graduates.

“This credential does a number of things including setting our graduates apart on the job market,康纳说。. “It also has their expertise recognized across the various areas of Family Life Education and provides networking opportunities through the CFLE network,”她说。.
